Alipurduar, 04th December: Trinamool Congress (TMC) Booth President Deepak Saha staged a dharna and protest in Alipurduar alleging that genuine deserving residents are being excluded from the housing scheme.
Reportedly, the protest took place at the Sobhaganj bus stand area on Wednesday, with several local residents joining him. As per details received, underprivileged families from booth number 12/257 of Chapar Par I Gram Panchayat in Block 2 had submitted their names for the housing scheme years ago. However, their names are absent from the final beneficiary list.
It is reported that around ten to twelve deserving families from the area have been left out, prompting the booth president to demand inclusion and action.
