Fulbari, 08th April: A tragic accident took place at Jotiakali More, where a woman died after being crushed by the wheels of a gas tanker. The incident occurred on Tuesday morning at Jotiakali More in Fulbari on the Siliguri-Jalpaiguri National Highway (NH).
According to local sources, two women were riding a scooty from the Champasari area to visit relatives at a private hospital in Jotiakali. Upon reaching Jotiakali More, a gas tanker approaching from behind hit the scooty. The impact threw both women onto the road, and the tanker’s wheels ran over one of them, killing her on the spot. The other woman sustained injuries.
