Siliguri, 05th April: A protest march was taken out by the Siliguri Town 2 Trinamool Congress Committee against the increased price of life-saving medicines and implementation of GST on health insurance premiums.
The march started from Pakurtala More in Siliguri on Saturday and ended in front of Baghajatin Park after traversing various roads of the city. Siliguri Mayor Gautam Deb, Deputy Mayor Ranjan Sarkar, Darjeeling District Trinamool Congress spokesperson Bedabrata Dutta and other Trinamool workers and supporters were present in the march on Saturday.
Trinamool leaders have stated that if the prices of medicines are not reduced immediately, they will launch a larger movement in the future.
