Siliguri, 05th April: Due to the Supreme Court’s decision in the SSC corruption case, about 26 thousand teachers have lost their jobs. Demanding job security by identifying eligible candidates, the BJP Teachers Cell staged a sit-in protest in front of the Mahatma Gandhi statue in Siliguri.
Siliguri MLA Shankar Ghosh and BJP Teachers Cell workers and supporters were present in this sit-in protest. Their demand is that eligible candidates should be given jobs immediately. They also demanded the resignation of the Chief Minister.
