Siliguri, 15th May: The 4th Kudo National Championship, organised by the Kudo International Federation India, will be held in Pune, Maharashtra, featuring participation from young athletes across the country.
From the 23-member West Bengal team, Ishika Roy and Sinjha Bhattacharya from Darjeeling district will represent the state in the competition.
Ahead of their departure, both athletes completed intensive training sessions to strengthen their preparation. Coach Ankur Barman supervised their final practice and focused on last-minute technical refinement.
Speaking to the media, the coach said Kudo mixed martial arts is important for self-defence and also offers future opportunities, including government benefits. He expressed confidence in both athletes.
Winners of the championship will get the opportunity to participate in the 18th Kudo International Championship.
