Rajganj, 13th July: A campaign has been initiated by the Rajganj block administration to keep the Rajganj market free from encroachment.
The initiative was undertaken following directives from the state’s Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee to clear government lands of encroachments. The campaign witnessed the participation of officials including BDO Prashant Barman and Rajganj Police Station’s IC Anupam Majumdar, along with other police personnel.

In this regard, BDO Prashant Barman emphasized that official guidelines prohibit business owners from encroaching upon the footpaths. Consequently, the traders have been advised to vacate the footpath. Further action has been cautioned against business owners if found encroaching upon the footpaths in the future.
