Jalpaiguri, 12th July: In a significant drug bust, police from Jalpaiguri’s Kotwali police station recovered 186 kg of cannabis from a truck parked in the Talma area of the Siliguri-Jalpaiguri National Highway on Thursday evening.
Reportedly, the authorities were alerted when a strong odor of cannabis emanated from a truck that had been stationary in front of a hotel in the Talma area for two days. Upon investigation, police discovered 36 packets of cannabis inside the vehicle, amounting to approximately 186 kg.
Following the seizure, police are now actively searching for the driver and the owner of the truck.
