Late night fire guts two shops at Talma in Rajganj

Reportedly, the incident occurred late on Tuesday night along the Siliguri-Jalpaiguri highway. The owners had closed their shops and gone home when they received news of the fire. 

 

The fire brigade and Rajganj police were promptly informed. With the combined efforts of locals and firefighters, the blaze was brought under control. However, the fire resulted in a loss estimated to be several lakhs of rupees.

 

The Rajganj police have initiated an investigation to determine the cause of the fire.
