Alipurduar, 16th April: The body of a child was recovered from the Itkhola area of Ward No. 13, near Alipurduar District Hospital, creating a sensation in the locality.
According to reports, the child’s body was found lying amidst garbage. Locals immediately informed the police after spotting it. Upon receiving the information, police reached the spot, recovered the body, and sent it for autopsy.

Ward Councillor Anand Jaiswal also arrived at the scene after being informed. The police have launched an investigation to determine who left the child’s body in such a densely populated area.
Councillor Anand Jaiswal stated that this is an inhumane act and that abandoning the body in such a manner is extremely unfortunate. He added that the matter is being seriously looked into by the police.
