Siliguri: Dilip Barman extends support to Gautam Deb, claims victory amid polling

Siliguri, 23rd April: In an interesting development during the first phase of the 2026 Assembly elections, Siliguri witnessed a change in political stance as Dilip Barman publicly extended support to Gautam Deb.

Setting aside earlier differences, Dilip Barman was seen backing Gautam Deb during the polling process and expressed confidence in his victory from the Siliguri Assembly constituency.

Notably, ahead of the elections, Dilip Barman had been seen opposing Gautam Deb. However, on polling day, he stated outside the polling station that Gautam Deb would emerge victorious from Siliguri.
