Siliguri, 22nd April: A foreign delegation from Georgia, Namibia, Switzerland and Nepal arrived in Siliguri on Wednesday to observe preparations for the West Bengal Assembly elections.
The delegation visited the DCRC centre at Siliguri College, where they inspected election preparedness and reviewed polling arrangements. They interacted with polling personnel and election officials, and also took photographs during the visit.
Officials briefed them on the voting process and various administrative procedures.
According to sources, the delegation will stay overnight in Siliguri and is scheduled to visit several polling stations in Siliguri and Kurseong on Thursday to observe the voting process firsthand
