Siliguri, 16th June: A young man lost his life while another sustained critical injuries after a speeding scooty crashed into a roadside tree in Siliguri late on Sunday night.
The deceased has been identified as Manish Singh, while the injured, Vikas Thakur, is currently undergoing treatment.

According to reports, both residents of Matigara, were travelling on a scooty from the Bhakti Nagar Police Station area towards Panitanki More. While passing through Sevoke Road, the scooty allegedly went out of control and rammed into a large tree on the roadside.
Following the incident, personnel from the Panitanki outpost rushed to the spot and immediately transported the injured duo to Siliguri District Hospital. However, doctors declared Manish Singh dead upon arrival.
Police have seized the damaged scooty and launched an investigation into the accident. The untimely death of Manish Singh has left his family devastated and mourning the loss.
