Rajganj, 08th May: Long-standing traffic congestion and daily inconvenience at the Belakoba railway gate area are set to end with the approval of a 2-lane railway overbridge (ROB). The Railway Ministry has cleared the project, which has also been mentioned in recently released Railway Board documents.
The proposed 2-lane ROB will replace the existing level crossing with a modern overbridge, aimed at easing vehicular movement in the area. Locals have long faced delays whenever the railway gate remained closed, causing major disruption to daily commuting.
Office commuters, students, and traders have been particularly affected by frequent traffic jams, especially during peak hours when congestion worsened significantly.
With the approval now confirmed, residents have expressed relief and optimism, hoping construction will begin soon. They believe the project will improve connectivity, reduce travel time, and enhance overall transport efficiency in the region.
