Rajganj, 06th May: Discontent within the Trinamool Congress has come to the fore following its crushing defeat in the Assembly elections. Former Rajganj MLA Khageswar Roy has directly held election strategist I-PAC responsible for the loss.
Speaking to the media at his residence on Wednesday, Roy said the party relied excessively on I-PAC instead of trusting its organisational strength, which led to the current situation.
He alleged that ignoring ground realities and depending solely on I-PAC’s inputs caused significant damage to the party. Roy also termed the pre-election decision to replace regional leaders as a mistake.
He further raised questions over Swapna Barman, stating that she lacked adequate political experience and organisational identity.
