Cooch Behar, 26th October: Stir arose in the area of Mathabhanga after a bomb was recovered in a residence’s verandah. Reportedly someone hurled a bomb at the house of Bishnu Majumdar, a resident of the area, late on Tuesday night.
This morning people saw the bomb. After this, the police were informed about the incident. On receiving the news of the incident, Mathabhanga police reached the spot and recovered the bomb. Police are probing the entire incident.

In this regard, Bishnu Majumdar said that someone had hurled a bomb at his residence at night. On waking up this morning, they found the said bomb in their verandah. He further said that had the bomb exploded, there could have been a major accident. The people of the area are in panic due to this incident.
