Minor takes poison for not getting firecrackers for Diwali in Tufanganj of Cooch Behar

 

Reportedly, with the upcoming festival of Diwali, a minor wanted to get firecrackers but on getting refused by his mother who scolded him, he then tried to commit suicide by consuming insecticide which was kept in the house. 

 

However, locals rushed to the spot upon hearing the screaming of the minor’s mother and rescued him and rushed him to the Tufanganj Divisional Hospital. The doctors were also shocked to see such a step taken by the minor. 

 

The minor’s mother told that on the occasion of Diwali, he was persistently insisting on buying fireworks since morning. When the mother refused and did not get any firecrackers he ingested poison kept for farming land. However, the minor was rescued and taken to Tufanganj Divisional Hospital. At present, the minor is undergoing treatment in a hospital.
