Siliguri, 27th March: A cargo truck travelling from Siliguri to Malbazar fell into the Teesta River. Three people, including a woman, travelling in the truck were seriously injured.
According to the information received, on Wednesday night, the truck was travelling from Siliguri to Malbazar. During this, the truck lost control near the Kali temple in Sevoke, and fell into the river. After the incident, the cops of Sevoke Outpost reached the spot rescued the injured, and rushed them to the hospital.
Currently, the injured are being treated in the hospital. As per sources, the accident happened due to the driver falling asleep. Further investigations are currently underway.
