Siliguri Mayor holds meeting in Phansidewa to ensure success of 21st July program

Phansidewa, 25th June: In preparation for the upcoming 21st July program, Siliguri Mayor Gautam Deb held a coordination meeting with Gram Panchayat Pradhans, Panchayat Samiti members, and party workers of Phansidewa block on Wednesday.

Present at the meeting were Darjeeling District Trinamool Congress Chairperson Sanjay Tibrewal, Siliguri Mahakuma Parishad Sabhadhipati Arun Ghosh, Phansidewa Panchayat Samiti Sabhapati Rina Ekka, along with other senior party leaders. Various organisational and developmental issues were discussed.

Speaking to reporters after the meeting, Mayor Gautam Deb said discussions focused not only on preparations for July 21 but also on the future development of Phansidewa. He added that similar meetings will soon be held in Phansidewa and Chathat.

Amidst speculation about a no-confidence motion against local Pradhans, Gautam Deb remarked that Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee assigns him to regions facing unrest, and his responsibility is to restore normalcy.
