Siliguri, 20th May: Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari on Wednesday shared multiple announcements regarding development in North Bengal during his Siliguri visit and said that he would visit the region every month only for work and not for leisure.
The Chief Minister also announced that the Minister of the North Bengal Development Department (NBDD) would hold administrative office at Uttar Kanya one day every week.
Adhikari arrived at Bagdogra Airport to attend an administrative meeting at Uttar Kanya. A festive atmosphere was witnessed at the airport since morning, where BJP workers and supporters gathered to welcome him. Darjeeling MP Raju Bista, NBDD Minister Nisith Pramanik and several BJP leaders were also present.
Speaking to media persons at the airport, the Chief Minister said that the people of North Bengal have trusted the BJP since 2009 and assured that all promises mentioned in the party’s election manifesto would be fulfilled gradually through development initiatives.
From Bagdogra Airport, Adhikari travelled by road to the BJP party office at Mallaguri before proceeding to Uttar Kanya for the administrative meeting.
