Rajganj, 18th May: Rajganj MLA Dinesh Sarkar visited Rajganj Rural Hospital on Monday to review healthcare services, infrastructure and overall medical facilities. After assuming charge as MLA, he inspected the hospital to assess the current condition of patient care and service delivery.
During the visit, he was accompanied by BDO Sourabh Kanti Mandal, BMOH Rahul Roy, officials from various departments, local representatives, party workers and supporters. He visited different sections of the hospital and interacted with patients and attendants to take stock of service-related issues.
Hospital authorities and nursing staff welcomed the MLA and highlighted several operational challenges and requirements. The Sister-in-Charge Sabita Sarkar raised concerns over lack of security along with shortage of cleaning staff and Group-D employees.
The MLA assured that necessary steps would be taken to address the issues raised. Dinesh Sarkar said all departments were inspected and discussions were held on future improvements including staff shortage, installation of a modern X-ray machine, drinking water facility and building repair requirements.
