Rajganj, 17th May: More than a hundred people from around 25 families left the Trinamool Congress and several other political parties to join the Kamtapur State Demand Council (KSDC) in Rajganj on Sunday.
A workers’ meeting was organized by the KSDC in the Bansbari area under Panikauri Gram Panchayat, where the new members formally joined the organization. The party leadership welcomed them by handing over KSDC flags during the programme.
Among those present at the event were Swadhin Roy, KSDC candidate for the Rajganj Assembly constituency, Ashtami Roy Sinha, candidate for the Dabgram-Fulbari Assembly constituency, along with Subrata Roy, Bimal Roy and other leaders.
Addressing the gathering, the speakers said the organization is steadily expanding its support base through its efforts to protect the interests of common people and continue the Kamtapur movement. They also called for strengthening the organization further across different parts of the state in the coming days.
