Naxalbari, 22nd April: A shocking incident of alleged gang-rape of a minor girl in the Hatighisa area of Naxalbari block, under the Siliguri Mahakuma, has come to light, leading to the arrest of three youths.
According to reports, the victim was outside her residence on Monday night, engaged in a phone conversation, when two individuals allegedly accosted her. They are accused of gagging the minor and forcibly taking her to a nearby tea garden. Subsequently, a third youth reportedly joined them, and all three allegedly subjected the girl to repeated gang-rape.
Following the filing of a complaint at the Naxalbari police station on Monday night, the police promptly launched an investigation. Their efforts led to the swift apprehension of three individuals identified as Saroj Toppo, Pankaj Mahato, and Roshan Kumar Mahato.
