Cooch Behar, 08th February: In a horrifying mishap, a massive fire broke out in the Chitkibari area of Mathabhanga Block II in Cooch Behar where four houses were damaged. Additionally, all the items in the houses were burnt to ashes and several cattle suffered injuries.
As per reports, the incident occurred at 8:30 PM on Wednesday. Subsequently, the locals attempted to douse the fire. Upon receiving the information, the fire brigade rushed to the scene and initiated the firefighting operations. Following several efforts, the raging inferno was brought under control.
However, the family members could not identify the reason behind the fire. Meanwhile, the family claimed to have suffered a loss worth several lakhs due to the incident.
