Jalpaiguri, 03rd May: The tragic death of a student has gripped the Denguajhar area of Jalpaiguri in an atmosphere of shock and mourning. Pratima Pradhan, a student at Jalpaiguri’s Central Girls School was found dead after failing in the Madhyamik exam.
According to reports, Pratima went to school on Thursday to collect her result and was devastated to find out that she failed the exams. Distraught, she returned home, where her family tried to console her. However, after having lunch and resting with her mother, she was later discovered missing in the evening.
Later, Pratima’s lifeless body was found hanging from a noose in the kitchen. Following a post-mortem examination on Friday, her body was handed over to her grieving family.
