Naxalbari, 08th February: The Siliguri Mahakuma Parishad has stepped up efforts to strengthen rural infrastructure with the laying of foundation stones for three new roads in remote villages of Naxalbari. The foundation stone laying was carried out by the Sabhadhipati of the Siliguri Mahakuma Parishad.
The road projects will cover a total stretch of around three kilometres in the Kotia Jote, Khalbasti and Nehal Jote areas. The roads will be constructed at an estimated cost of ₹80 lakh and are scheduled to be completed within the next three months. The commencement of the work has brought relief and happiness among local residents.
