Rajganj, 26th March: An elderly man has been arrested for allegedly attempting to molest two minors by luring them with food and money. Acting on a complaint, Rajganj police arrested the accused from his residence on Tuesday night.
According to reports, two minors, aged 11 and 13, were playing in a village in Rajganj block when the accused, who was passing by, lured them to a secluded spot. There, he allegedly attempted the henious act.

Realizing the danger, the minors started screaming, alerting locals who rushed to the spot. However, the accused managed to flee before they arrived.
Following the incident, a written complaint was immediately filed at Rajganj police station. Based on the complaint, police apprehended the accused and presented him before Jalpaiguri court on Wednesday. Further investigation into the matter is underway.
