Kharibari, 05th February: Development work has been initiated in rural tea garden areas to improve drainage systems. As part of the project, three existing culverts will be converted into box culverts and 100 meters of permanent drains will be constructed along village roads.
In Satish Chandra Tea Garden in Buraganj Gram Panchayat, several hundred families reside along the factory line. Due to the absence of a proper drainage system, wastewater used to accumulate in the area. To address this, Siliguri Mahakuma Parishad has allocated ₹50 lakh from the WBSRDA fund.
