Jalpaiguri, 08th May: Tension gripped Jalpaiguriās Race Course Para after a CBI team raided the residence of Dipankar Das, a police personnel currently posted as a security guard at the bungalow of the Jalpaiguri District Superintendent of Police.
On Thursday morning, a four-member CBI team, accompanied by central forces, arrived at his house and conducted a nearly three-hour-long search. During the operation, several documents were reportedly seized.
Dipankar Das hails from a family with a policing background. His father, Kanai Das, is a retired policeman, while his elder brother, Dibas Das, is employed in a private company.
The purpose of the raid remains undisclosed, as CBI officials refused to comment to the media.
