Bhaktinagar police foil crime attempt, five miscreants arrested in swift operation in Siliguri

Siliguri, 11th May: In a swift operation, Bhaktinagar police arrested five miscreants before they could execute a crime. The arrested individuals have been identified as Sujit Tamang, Abhijit Rai, Vishnu Burman, Sanju Das, and Satya Kumar.

According to reports, on Saturday night, Bhaktinagar police received a tip-off about the presence of several armed miscreants near the PC Mittal bus stand area. Acting on the information, undercover officers from the Bhaktinagar police station conducted an operation at the location and apprehended five suspects on the spot.

However, several other miscreants managed to flee upon sensing the police’s presence. During the operation, the police recovered several weapons from the possession of the arrested individuals.

The five accused were presented in Jalpaiguri court on Sunday. Meanwhile, a detailed investigation into the incident has been initiated by the police.
