Cooch Behar, 17th December: A shocking case has come to the fore after an attempt was made to rape a girl student in a school. The case pertains to a school from Tufanganj, where a student has been accused of trying to rape a girl student at gunpoint. At present, the family members of the minor have lodged a written complaint at the Tufanganj police station.
On the basis of the complaint, the police have started investigating the entire incident. The minor’s mother said that the girl was upset after returning home from school yesterday. Later, on questioning her, it was revealed that a Grade 12 student of her school was blackmailing her by clicking several photographs without her knowledge. The alleged accused even tried to rape her at gunpoint.
However, speaking in this regard, the headmaster of the school said that he was not aware or had no knowledge of the matter.
