Cooch Behar, 01st January: Tensions erupted at the maternity ward of Cooch Behar’s MJN Medical College and Hospital over the death of a mother.
Reportedly, Khatija Bibi, wife of Ashraful Haque and a resident of Sutkabari, was admitted to the maternity ward of MJN Medical College and Hospital on December 27. She gave birth to a daughter the next day. Unfortunately, Khatija Bibi lost her life this morning. Following this, the deceased’s family members accused the hospital of negligence in treatment and allegedly vandalized the hospital.
