Alipurduar, 01st October: In a tragic incident, the lifeless body of a pregnant woman was found hanging from the noose in the Khoardanga area of the Kumargram block under Alipurduar district. Meanwhile, the family of the deceased Rakhi Roy (22) alleged foul play.
As per the details received, the husband of the deceased reportedly informed the Kamakhyaguri Outpost that his wife committed suicide on Tuesday morning. Upon arriving at the location, the police transported the woman to the Kamakhyaguri Rural Hospital where the doctors declared her dead.
On the other hand, the bereaved family members have complained that the woman was allegedly murdered. At present, the husband and father-in-law of the deceased are undergoing an interrogating procedure.
