Youth shot dead in broad daylight in Dinhata

Cooch Behar, 02nd June: Sensation prevailed after a youth was shot dead in broad daylight in Dinhata. The victim, identified as Prashant Roy Basunia, was reportedly associated with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). According to reports, the young man was shot after entering a house in the Dinhata Shimultala area. Immediate efforts were made to save him as he was found in critical condition, and he was rushed to Dinhata Hospital. However, the doctors pronounced him brought dead upon arrival. Meanwhile Trinamool Congress denied any involvement in the incident.
