Woman’s bag snatched by bike-borne miscreants in Fulbari; panic grips area

Fulbari, 04th June: Tension prevailed in the Uttar Kanya More area near Siliguri on Tuesday night after two bike-borne miscreants snatched a woman’s bag and fled, creating panic among locals.

As per sources, the incident took place around 9:00 p.m. when two women were returning home to Fulbari from Siliguri in an e-rickshaw. Upon reaching Uttar Kanya More, two men on a motorcycle suddenly approached and snatched the bag from one of the women sitting in the rickshaw before fleeing the scene.

The victim, identified as Basanti Mandal, stated that she was returning home after finishing work in Siliguri when the attack occurred. She added that her bag contained several thousand rupees, a mobile phone, and important documents.

Locals rushed to the spot upon hearing her screams, but the culprits had already escaped. The matter has been reported to NJP Police Station, and an investigation is underway.
