Darjeeling, 02nd March: In a major development in West Bengal elections, the Hamro Party has won 18 wards in Darjeeling. Earlier, Darjeeling was with the Gorkha Janmukti Morcha.
An atmosphere of happiness was witnessed among the party supporters including party chairman Ajoy Edwards.

On the other hand, Anit Thapa’s BGPM is in the opposition seat of Darjeeling municipality after obtaining 9 out of 32 seats.
Meanwhile, Bimal Gurung’s Gorkha Janmukti Morcha won 3 seats and Trinamool won 2 seats. However, GNLF and BJP did not get any seats.
