Cooch Behar, 09th January: Sensation prevailed after the body of an unidentified individual was recovered from the roadside of East Dighaltari of Indo-Bangladesh border under Nazirhat Gram Panchayat-II of Dinhata in Cooch Behar.
According to reports, on Tuesday morning, the locals spotted the lifeless body of the man and reported the matter to the police. Upon receiving the news, Officer Trideb Sarkar of Dinhata Mahakuma Police and officials of the block administration arrived at the spot and witnessed injury marks on the deceased individual’s right hand.
Locals speculate that the man lost his life while engaging in cattle trafficking during the night. However, no information has been revealed by the BSF (Border Security Force) regarding the matter. Currently, the police are engaged in further investigation.
