Kharibari, 10th June: Two youths were seriously injured after their bike lost control and crashed into a pickup van on the Asian Highway at Shimultala, near Panitanki in Kharibari.
According to reports, the pickup van was en route to Siliguri after loading goods from Panitanki when the bike collided with its rear. The injured have been identified as Sameer Talukdar and Prabir Barman, both residents of Gaur Singh Jote in Kharibari.

Locals immediately rushed to the spot, rescued the injured, and first admitted them to Naxalbari Hospital. They were later shifted to a private hospital in Siliguri for advanced treatment.
Upon receiving information, police from the Panitanki Outpost reached the scene and have initiated an investigation into the incident.
