Alipurduar, 11th March: The police of Samuktala Police Station have arrested two individuals, including the Trinamool Anchal President, with brown sugar. The arrested accused have been identified as Paschim Majherdabri Trinamool Anchal President Bishnu Roy and Sanjay Mandal, a resident of Kaliachak, Malda.
Reportedly, acting on a tip-off, the Samuktala Police conducted a raid in front of the Trinamool Party office in Majherdabri area on Monday night. During the operation, 52 grams of brown sugar were recovered from the duo.
The police are currently investigating the entire matter.
