Alipurduar, 28th February: On Wednesday, a fish-laden truck overturned on National Highway-31 in the Mendabari area of Alipurduar district. As a result, pedestrians gathered in a crowd to loot the fish scattered on the road.
According to reports, the truck loaded with fish was on its way to Assam from Andhra Pradesh when it abruptly lost control and overturned on the roadside. Consequently, the fish from the vehicle were dispersed across the road. In the meantime, the pedestrians witnessed the situation and gathered in the area to loot the fish.
Upon receiving the news, the police arrived at the spot and handled the situation. However, the truck driver and conductor suffered significant injuries in the incident.
