Rajganj, 29th December: The SCâOBC cell of the Trinamool Congress organised a protest rally and public meeting in Rajganj on Monday, opposing what it described as the BJP governmentâs policies of repression and the SIR process.
The rally was led by Jalpaiguri district Trinamool Congress SCâOBC cell president Krishna Das. It began from Kaliaganj in the Patkata area under the Rajganj Assembly constituency and concluded at the Denguajhar Tea Garden. Thousands of party workers and supporters participated in the procession.
Following the rally, a public meeting was held at Targhera ground, where several leaders addressed the gathering. Speakers included Trinamool Congress SCâOBC cell state president Dr Tapas Mondal and district president Krishna Das, who criticised the BJP governmentâs policies and raised concerns over the SIR issue.
Among those present at the meeting were Trinamool Congress Jalpaiguri district president Mahua Gop, SCâOBC cell district president Pinaki Biswas, Jalpaiguri Zilla Parishad education Karmadhyaksha Pranayita Das, Sadar-2 block president Arjun Das, along with other party leaders and members.
