Jalpaiguri, 16th May: Sending a message on fuel conservation, Rajganj MLA Dinesh Sarkar returned home from the station by toto. After taking oath in the Assembly, he arrived at Jalpaiguri station on Saturday morning, where a large number of party workers and supporters gathered to welcome him.
As soon as he stepped out of the station, the newly elected MLA was greeted with loud slogans and felicitated with flower garlands amid a festive atmosphere created by supporters.
Following the reception, he left the station premises in a toto and proceeded towards his residence. Explaining his choice of transport, the MLA said that considering the fuel crisis across the country and the Prime Minister’s appeal for fuel conservation, he decided to travel by toto to set an example.
