Khairbari, 01st December: A pair of elephants entered the Thanjhora Tea Estate in Khairbari on Monday morning. Their sudden presence triggered panic among workers, forcing authorities to halt leaf-plucking work.
The elephants continued roaming inside the garden, causing fear among locals. Upon receiving information, a Forest Department team reached the spot.
According to forest officials, the elephants had ventured out of the Tukriajhar forest in search of food.
