Bagdogra, 07th July: A fatal road accident occurred on Monday morning at the Sanyasi Tea Garden area along Asian Highway 2 in Bagdogra, where a head-on collision between a mango-laden pickup van and a lorry claimed one life and left two others injured.
According to reports, the pickup van was transporting mangoes from Bihar to Siliguri, while the lorry was returning from Siliguri when the two vehicles collided head-on. The impact left the pickup van severely damaged. One passenger, identified as Guddu Kumar Yadav from Bihar, died on the spot.
