Alipurduar, 05th February: The Rava Development Council staged a protest demanding punishment for the accused involved behind the death of Bimal Rava, the man who was shot dead by the forest workers.
As per the report, the members of the Rava Development Council staged a protest and gheraoed various range offices of Alipurduar district on Wednesday. A memorandum was also submitted in this regard.
It is to recall, on January 13, Bimal Rava went to rear cattle at a nearby forest area and lost his way. The man spent the night in the forest. While he was on his way back home, the next morning, Rava was shot dead by the forest workers.
