New Delhi, 02nd March: The Supreme Court on Monday dismissed the curative petition of Pawan Gupta, one of the four death row convicts of the 2012 Delhi gangrape and murder case. Pawan had requested to convert his death penalty to life imprisonment.
His lawyer AP Singh demanded a hearing in open court. To this, a 5-judge bench said that there is no question of reconsidering the sentence. It is to be noted that Pawan still has the option to file a mercy petition before the President of India.
