Kharibari, 15th March: A new chapter in rural healthcare begins as the foundation stone for a modern building at Rangali Primary Health Centre in Kharibari was laid on Sunday. The project, funded by the state health department at a cost of Rs 1.42 crore, will expand the centre’s capacity to provide both indoor and outdoor medical services, including a 10-bed facility for round-the-clock care.
Rangali Primary Health Centre, under Buraganj Gram Panchayat, previously offered only outpatient services during the day. Residents of 20 surrounding villages often had to travel up to 10 km to Kharibari or Naxalbari hospitals for advanced treatment, including care for pregnant women and other patients.
