Siliguri, 25th April: A 15-year-old boy has been apprehended by police in Siliguri following allegations of sexually assaulting a four-year-old girl.
The disturbing incident reportedly occurred within the jurisdiction of the Ashighar Outpost.

According to sources, the young girl’s father had left her at her grandfather’s residence on Thursday, as was their routine, while he went to work.
It is alleged that a neighbor, the 15-year-old suspect enticed the child into his home with the promise of food and then committed the crime.
The incident has created widespread alarm in the local community. The victim was taken to Siliguri District Hospital for medical attention. Subsequently, the girl’s family lodged a formal complaint at the Ashighar Outpost, leading to the minor suspect’s arrest.
He was presented before the Jalpaiguri Juvenile Court on Friday.
