Naxalbari, 09th May: The oath-taking ceremony of West Bengal’s first BJP government at Brigade Ground in Kolkata was screened live on a giant screen in Naxalbari, drawing a large number of BJP workers and supporters.
A special stage was set up at Panighata More by the Naxalbari Mandal BJP for the live telecast. A festive atmosphere was witnessed in the area throughout the ceremony as supporters gathered to watch the swearing-in programme.
After the ceremony concluded, ‘Jhalmuri’ was distributed among party workers and supporters. The move was seen as a response to former Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee’s earlier “Jhalmuri” remark targeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
BJP supporters expressed happiness through the event and showed enthusiasm towards the formation of the new government.
