Let’s transform North Bengal into one of the most peaceful, prosperous and progressive in our nation: Raju Bista

While the MP Bista highlighted the “atrocities and discrimination” faced by people from North Bengal under Congress, Communist Party of India (Marxist) (CPI(M)) and Trinamool Congress (TMC), Union Minister asserted that the contribution made by the brave hearts of North Bengal towards keeping the nation protected will be honoured.

Promising that the Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) will leave no stone unturned to fulfil the aspirations of the people, Home Minister Amit Shah stated that the government of India will initiate a Rs 500 crore worth of Organic Farming initiative in Darjeeling hills. Furthermore, to encourage creativity and promotion of the Nepali language, the BJP government will grant subsidies to those making movies in Nepali and an annual prize of Rs 5 crores will be initiated for encouraging Nepali cinema. Also, a Nepali language radio channel will be established.

MP Bista in the statement also acknowledged Amit Shah for speaking on finding a ‘Permanent Political Solution’ to the long pending demand of people from Darjeeling hills, Terai and Dooars. Also on granting of Schedule Tribe status to 11 left-out Gorkha sub-tribes as soon as the saffron government is formed in the state.

BJP leader Raju Bista urged the people to vote for BJP to “transform the region into one of the most peaceful, prosperous and progressive” in the nation.
