Rajganj, 17th May: Khageswar Roy has been appointed as the Chairman of the Jalpaiguri District Trinamool Congress for the fourth time. Following the announcement, party workers and supporters warmly congratulated him.
On Friday, the All India Trinamool Congress released the list of presidents and chairmen for various districts across the state. Upon hearing the news of Roy’s reappointment, party workers and supporters from various Gram Panchayats, including the Binnaguri zone, gathered at his residence on Saturday morning. They congratulated him by presenting bouquets, gifts, and sweets.
Speaking on the occasion, MLA Khageswar Roy said, “All India Trinamool Congress leader Mamata Banerjee and the party’s All India General Secretary Abhishek Banerjee have once again entrusted me with the responsibility as the Chairman of Jalpaiguri district. It is a matter of pride and happiness for me. The way workers and supporters are coming from different places today and expressing their love is truly heartwarming.”
He added, “Our main target is to ensure the victory of Trinamool in all seven seats in Jalpaiguri district in the upcoming 2026 assembly elections and give a gift to Didi.”
